MOORPARK : New High School Principal Hired
Just in time for the end of the school year, the Moorpark Unified School District has hired a new principal for Moorpark High.
John McIntosh, an assistant principal in Redding, Calif., will replace interim Principal Chuck Smith.
Smith, a retired assistant superintendent for the district, took over late last year when former Principal Cary Dritz was named director of human resources for the Ventura County superintendent’s office.
McIntosh was in Moorpark this week to meet teachers and students at the high school, Supt. Tom Duffy said. A committee of teachers, parents and members of the school board selected McIntosh from about 20 applicants.
