Broadway Mulling Offers for 12 Stores: Chairman Sam Zell said the company has received an offer to buy all of the stores it operates outside of California. The Los Angeles-based retailer said in April that it would explore the possibility of selling its 12 Southwest Division stores. Zell also said a number of companies have made offers for some of the 12. Zell made the comments at Broadway Stores Inc.’s annual shareholder meeting. The stores are in Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada. Broadway Stores operates 71 stores in California.
