HUNTINGTON BEACH : ‘Fiber Arts on the Hill’ at Newland House

Share

An exhibit of weaving, knitting, crochet and basketry will open June 24 at the city’s historic Newland House Museum.

Entitled “Fiber Arts on the Hill,” the exhibit is presented by the Huntington Beach Historical Society and will continue through July 2.

“The fiber artists have gone beyond what is to be expected when one thinks of crochet and trapunto quilting,” said Karen Topol, the museum’s special events coordinator. “There is creativity and vision in the crochet soft sculptures and paper castings.”
