BREA —
A fund-raising event to benefit the family of Brea Police Officer Danny Valenzuela, who suffered a fatal heart attack while on duty May 23, will be Wednesday at a McDonald’s restaurant, 825 E. Imperial Highway.
Half of the money received from the purchase of food at the restaurant between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. that day will go to Valenzuela’s memorial fund, officials said.
Valenzuela was 39 and a 14-year veteran of the Brea Police Department. He is survived by his wife and four children.
