5th District Race

* With reference to Joan Leonard’s letter (June 13), I’d like to correct a misimpression it may have left with your readers. Michael Feuer’s campaign for the City Council 5th District seat also used “negative” mailers (if Leonard didn’t receive any of these pieces, I’d be glad to provide her samples), paid walkers and paid phoners (many working from out-of-state phone banks).

I’d also like to take the opportunity to thank the over 350 volunteers who contributed their time and effort to Barbara Yaroslavsky’s campaign for City Council. Their support is a testament to the many lives that Barbara has touched in her long years of service to our community. Their participation in their fellow volunteer’s campaign was its heart and soul.
