Business Software Alliance Wins Copyright Settlement: The Washington-based trade group, whose members include the world’s leading software developers, won its first copyright case settlement in China and will soon lodge four more cases there. Beijing Gaoli Computer Co. agreed to pay $78,300 in damages to Microsoft Corp., Autodesk Inc., Lotus Development Corp., Novell Inc. and the WordPerfect Application Group for illegally copying and selling their products.
