SIMI VALLEY : Girl Critically Hurt After Fall Into Pool

A Simi Valley 3-year-old was in critical condition Monday after falling into a swimming pool and nearly drowning, police and hospital officials said.
The child, Jenna Leigh Otis, was discovered by her grandmother in the pool at the family’s house in the 600 block of Verdemont Circle in Simi Valley, police said.
Police arrived about 11:25 a.m. and found the child not breathing, Simi Valley Police Lt. Don Austin said.
Police revived Jenna by administering CPR, he said.
The child was taken to Simi Valley Hospital and then to Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center, where a spokeswoman said she was in critical condition late Monday afternoon.
