The First Cut Is the Deepest

We love birdseye maple, the knotty wood that adorns a thousand Art Deco armoires. But we’re not sure what to make of this lovely birdseye maple bread board. It’s a sure thing that if we set it out for a party with bread and cheese, we’d feel awfully proud of ourselves for about ten minutes, then spend the rest of the time fretting that one of our guests would actually use a knife on our precious object. “Stay away from the cheese,” we’d cry. “Don’t touch that board!” Maybe it would be better if it went up on the wall. Few would attempt to eat off art. Available at Room With a View in Santa Monica.
