San Gabriel Valley : CHURCH VANDALS
Police are searching for whoever smashed 11 historic stained-glass windows at Holliston Avenue United Methodist Church in Pasadena last week.
Damage is estimated at $15,000, said building administrator Wendy Kendall.
The church, which was built in 1900, is one of the city’s oldest and was the creation of famed architect John Austin, who also designed Griffith Observatory and Shrine Auditorium.
Church officials know of no motive for the vandalism and found no rocks or other items used to smash the windows, Kendall said.
