Radio Host Faces Fraud, Perjury Charges: Irwin H. (Sonny) Bloch, a radio show host accused of costing investors $21 million on poor investments, was indicted on federal tax fraud, perjury and obstruction of justice charges. The indictment in federal court in New York comes one month after Bloch, whose show is syndicated to 170 stations, pleaded innocent to federal conspiracy and fraud charges in Newark, N.J. A federal judge in May froze the assets of Bloch and his wife after the Securities and Exchange Commission charged him with selling unregistered securities, misleading investors about the projected return and failing to disclose his financial interest to listeners. Bloch has denied any wrongdoing and accused investigators of ignoring his constitutional rights.
