The Los Angeles Blades were beaten by the Phoenix Cobras, 7-6, on a sudden-death shootout goal Sunday night in a Roller Hockey International game at the Forum.

Both teams scored only one goal in the best-of-five shootout and moved on to a sudden-death shootout.

The Cobras’ Boyd Sutton converted on his attempt and Blade forward Vaclav Nedomansky was stopped by Phoenix goaltender Jeff Levy to give the Cobras their seventh victory in eight games.

The Blades’ next home game will be Thursday night against the Oklahoma City Coyotes. They play in San Jose on Wednesday night.
