CAM Data Systems Inc.: The Fountain Valley producer of point of sale and inventory management systems said profit for its third-quarter fiscal quarter rose to $177,700, or 9 cents a share, up from the $67,900, or 3 cents a share, for the year-earlier period. Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 increased 12% to $3.8 million from $3.4 million. Net income for the first nine months of the company’s fiscal 1995 fell almost 15% to $189,800, or 9 cents a share, from the year-earlier $223,200, or 11 cents a share. CAM Data said the profit drop was partly due to an increase in income tax expense because the company last year used up most of its accumulated tax loss credits. Revenue for the nine-month period increased 10% to a record $10.7 million from $9.7 million.
