Union Bank of San Francisco more than quadrupled its earnings, recording a profit of $52.0 million as compared to $12.7 million a year ago.
“Continued strong loan growth, healthy net interest margins and better asset quality provided the basis for the improved financial results,” said Kanetaka Yashida, president and chief executive.
