Simi Valley police arrested seven residents for being under the influence of methamphetamine last week after numerous complaints from neighbors in their quiet residential neighborhood along Hartley Street, officials said.
At about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, police conducted a narcotics investigation at 1305 Hartley and said they found the residents under the influence of methamphetamine and in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, officials said.
Police arrested Karen Agate, 31, Gayle Phelps, 31, Rebecca Simpson, 33, Robert George, 39, Oscar Chao, 23, and Laveda Aguayo, 41, all of Simi Valley, according to a police statement. A 17-year-old boy, who was not identified because of his age, was also arrested and released to his parents.
Police said it is rare to arrest so many people during a single investigation.
“That many narcotics arrests is not common,” said Sgt. Anthony Anzilotti.
