Cybernetics Products Inc.: The Santa Ana manufacturer of drills and routers for electronic circuit boards said Monday that a major write-off, combined with its restructuring efforts, will give it a second quarter loss that is expected to exceed $4.5 million. The company said it had $3.9 million in revenue for the quarter. For the like period last year, the company reported a loss of $59,000, or 4 cents a share, on revenue of $4.5 million. Cybernetics said the anticipated loss is directly attributable to its turnaround efforts, and that the lower revenue was a result of self-imposed expenditure and shipping limits. In addition, the company said it secured a $4.2-million contract to sell printed circuit board drilling and routing machines in China.
