Tujunga Wash flood channel between Burbank Boulevard and Oxnard Street, slicing through Van Nuys and North Hollywood
This mural, collectively produced by 187 artists between 1976 and 1983, lines the Tujunga Wash for almost half a mile. The loosely linked sequence of 41 scenes tells an almost cinematic history of California from the prehistoric era to the present. The section shown here depicts Mexican rule.
