400 Workers Evacuated in Spill at Drug Plant

ALBANY, Ga. —
Eighteen people remained hospitalized but were expected to be released Friday after a chemical spill forced 400 workers to evacuate a drug plant.
A total of 45 workers were taken to hospitals, complaining of sore throats, nausea and headaches, after they were exposed to phosphorus trichloride, a chemical used in making a diuretic.
