Ryder Leases Building on Transport Street

A unit of Ryder Truck Rental Inc. has leased a 16,000-square-foot building on Transport Street in Ventura. The unit is being relocated from Oxnard.

Ryder has a lease to purchase the building and two acres at the Ventura site.

CB Commercial Real Estate represented the property’s owner, Engs Motor Truck Co., in the transaction.

In another relocation, Biometics Inc., a nutritional supplements firm, is moving its headquarters from Newbury Park to a building it has purchased at 1170 Avenida Acaso in Camarillo. CB Commercial represented both the buyer and the seller, Acaso Associates. Terms were not disclosed.

And Robert Mann Packaging Co., a distributor of packaging supplies for the flower-growing industry, has leased 20,000 feet of space on Walter Street in Ventura.

The multiyear lease is valued at $460,000, according to Capital Commercial Real Estate Services in Encino.
