Anaheim’s Safeguard Health Reports Record Revenue

ANAHEIM — Safeguard Health Enterprises Inc., a diversified managed care and insurance company, reported that net income rose in the second quarter on record revenue.
Net income in the second quarter rose 12% to $550,000, or 12 cents a share, from $493,000, or 10 cents a share, in the same quarter a year ago. Revenue increased 15% to a record $20 million from $17.4 million.
In the first half, net income dropped to $1 million, or 22 cents a share, from $1.6 million, or 32 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue increased 15% to a record $39.5 million from $34.3 million.
