COSTA MESA : Tourism Council and Ad Agency to Create and Promote City Image
- Share via
The city’s Tourism Council is not concerned that Costa Mesa has a bad image. Rather, the panel says, the city suffers from having no image at all.
To correct that problem, the newly formed council has hired Lefebvre Advertising of Anaheim to create an identity for the city.
“We have wonderful amenities including South Coast Plaza and the Performing Arts Center,” said Wayne Bodington, general manager of the Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel and co-chairman of the Tourism Council.
“But nobody knows who we are.”
The new image and subsequent tourism promotion campaign will be hammered out between members of the council and Lefebvre Advertising over the next few months, Bodington said.
