ORANGE : Candidates for School Board Must File Today
Candidates for positions on the Orange Unified School District Board of Education must file paperwork by 5 p.m. today to be on the ballot for the November election.
The seven-member school board will have three open seats this year. Trustees finishing their four-year terms are Maureen Aschoff, Bill Lewis and Robert H. Viviano. They serve Trustee Areas 2, 3 and 6.
To qualify, candidates must be registered to vote and must live in one of the trustee areas. There is a $14.50 fee for candidates who want a 200-word statement printed in the ballot.
