Woman Drives Car Into Lake but Daughter Lives

NASHVILLE —
A suicidal woman slashed her own wrists and those of her 7-year-old daughter, then drove a car into a lake to her death. The girl survived.
Fishermen found Kendel Bryant before dawn Friday, standing waist-deep in water on a boat ramp at Percy Priest Lake. Police used an underwater camera to find the body of her 34-year-old mother, Darla Lisch.
Neighbors said Lisch had been involved in a custody battle over the girl with her ex-husband.
