Drifter Accused of Stalking Madonna Faces 5 Felony Counts

A drifter accused of stalking Madonna at her Hollywood Hills home and threatening to slit the pop singer’s throat must stand trial on five felony charges, a judge ruled Tuesday.

Robert Dewey Hoskins, being held in lieu of $150,000 bail, is scheduled to be arraigned in Superior Court on Aug. 29. He is charged with three counts of making terrorist threats, and one count each of stalking and assault.

Hoskins, 37, was shot by a security guard at Madonna’s Mulholland Drive estate on May 29--the third time he reportedly had gone to the property and insisted the singer was his wife.
