Superintendent Says Thanks
* I am writing to commend the community members who have attended the Ventura County Board of Education meetings and who have written to me and the board members over the past several months. Many people have spoken their minds and have assisted the board members and myself to arrive at reasoned decisions that are in the best interests of residents of Ventura County.
I have learned a great deal about the differing perceptions and opinions of Ventura County residents. I remain optimistic we can work together to find common ground and create solutions that are in the best interests of the general public while providing choices that meet individual needs.
I commend citizens who have foregone evening activities at home to attend the board meetings in order to share their best thinking. This is a real sign of dedication to Ventura County.
I believe that the quality of the dialogue that has taken place will strengthen the schools in Ventura County.
