ORANGE COUNTY ALMANAC : Opening the Job Market
- Share via
In 1915, Santa Ana resident Frank Musselman founded what may have been Orange County’s first employment agency.
He opened a cafe at 4th and French streets to provide food and lodging for itinerant farm workers until they could find jobs. He named it the Palace Hotel, but everybody else called it Musselman’s Cafe.
