LA PALMA : Resurfacing OKd for 2 Parking Lots
The City Council has approved resurfacing that parking lots at the Civic Center and Central Park.
By unanimous vote, the council approved Public Works Director Ismile H. Noorbaksh’s request to advertise for bids for the work.
The council had previously earmarked about $20,000 in the current budget for the parking lot renovations.
In a report to the council, Noorbaksh said a special kind of seal would be used for both parking lot projects to reduce scuffing and other damage.
Pending receipt of the bids, no date has been set for the pavement work.
Noorbaksh told the council last week that “to minimize the inconvenience to patrons of the City Hall and Community Center, the contractor will be permitted to work in the evening or during the weekends.”
