SANTA ANA : New Program Targets High School Dropouts
Latino high school dropouts short on job skills will have a second chance to improve their marketable talents beginning in September.
That’s when Taller San Jose, a new job-training and education center sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, will open its doors in Santa Ana Civic Center.
Housed in a 1930s-style building owned by the city, the center will focus on young men and women aged 16 to 24, offering high school equivalency courses as well as classes to develop construction and computer skills.
Other job-training courses expected to be added within the year include home health and medical assistant training.
