Sophomore tailback Delon Washington came out of Tuesday’s morning workout with a sprained ankle, and sophomore defensive tackle Darrell Russell hopped off the field in the afternoon, favoring his left ankle.
Washington caught a ball over the middle and fell awkwardly when hit. He spent the afternoon on crutches but said he didn’t believe he would be sidelined long.
Russell was scheduled for an X-ray.
