Obituaries : * Harold R. Tindle; Lifelong County Resident
Harold R. Tindle, a lifelong county resident, died Monday in Lake Almanor. He was 69.
Tindle, who was born in Ventura and had lived in Ojai since 1938, was on one of his beloved motor home trips when he died, family members said.
Tindle was a plant operator at Seaside Oil Refinery until 1970. He then went to work for the Ojai Unified School District, where he retired in 1977.
He was a member of the Ojai Valley Community Church; Ojai Lodge No. 663, and the Meiners Oaks Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Tindle of Ojai; a son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Patti Tindle of Ojai; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Rick Downard of Ojai; and a sister, Marie West of San Jose.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ojai Community Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ojai Valley Community Church or the American Heart Assn. Cremation and inurnment will be under the direction of Clausen Funeral Home of Ojai.
