“Jekyll & Hyde” grossed $852,431 for performances Tuesday through Sunday at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. Center spokesman Greg Patterson said Monday that the show played to 86% attendance. “That’s huge for any show in our Broadway series. For a new musical without any name stars, it’s extraordinary.” Patterson noted that “Jekyll & Hyde” nearly matched the center’s box-office sales of “Hello, Dolly,” starring Carol Channing.
