Company Town : Nolan Named Senior Vice President at Disney Consumer Products

Peter F. Nolan has been promoted to the new position of senior vice president and general counsel for Disney Consumer Products. In addition, he continues as vice president and assistant general counsel of Walt Disney Co.

Walt Disney Co. has also named Valerie A. Cohen, Edward J. Nowak and David K. Thompson to corporate senior vice presidency posts in its legal department. Each also holds the title of assistant general counsel.

Disney TeleVentures announced the appointments of Barry Cottle as vice president of marketing, Diana Ritchie as vice president of network licensing and Kristen Roby as vice president of finance and administration.

* Paul Yamamoto has been named executive vice president of motion picture and television production for the Larry Thompson Organization.

* Paul Arnzen has joined WB Television Network as head of network distribution.

* John Silva has been elevated to full partner at Gold Mountain Entertainment, the Los Angeles management firm whose client roster includes Bonnie Raitt, Sonic Youth and the Beastie Boys.

* Anne Adriance has been named senior vice president and general manager of domestic licensing and merchandising for Turner Home Entertainment. Valerie G. McCarty has been promoted to director of international public relations, Latin America and the Caribbean, for Turner Broadcasting System Inc.

* Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp. has promoted Leslee Perlstein to senior vice president, personnel. Jamie McCabe has been promoted to director, worldwide pay-per-view, for Twentieth Century Fox’s Pay Television division.

* Stanley R. Jaffe announced that film producer Allyn Stewart will join his new entertainment company.

* Savoy Pictures has named Peter D. Cathy vice president of business affairs.

In a listing published on Tuesday, the name Rick Ungar, New World Entertainment’s president of first-run and animated programming, was misspelled.
