Former Better Office Systems President Signs With Toshiba

Richard Taylor has joined Irvine-based Toshiba America Information Systems Inc.’s electronic imaging division as vice president of marketing. Taylor was formerly president of Better Office Systems in San Francisco, which was acquired by Alco Standard in May. Before that, he was with Savin Corp. for 10 years, most recently as vice president of dealer sales.

* Vincent Price has been appointed senior vice president of the Insco/Dico Group, Irvine-based insurance companies. Price, who joined Insco/Dico in 1989, is chief financial officer and treasurer.

* Kim Adams has been named director of marketing for Pacific Gateway Homes in Aliso Viejo. She will be responsible for all aspects of marketing, merchandising, advertising, public relations and sales administration. Before joining the company in 1993, Adams spent seven years at Barratt American Inc.

* Al Houdek has been appointed vice president and regional production manager for Victoria Mortgage Corp. in Irvine. He will be responsible for new market development in the Southern California market. He was previously regional vice president for American Residential Mortgage in Minnesota and Ventura.

* Nate Franke has been made a partner in the Costa Mesa office of Deloitte & Touche LLP, an accounting, tax and consulting firm. He does auditing and consulting for companies in the manufacturing and retail/distribution industries.
