No. 5 Florida, which was without 12 players in its opener because of various rules violations and eligibility questions, will get seven back for Saturday’s game at Kentucky.
Five players were suspended from a 45-21 victory over Houston because they cut classes: receiver Jacquez Green, linebacker Willie Cohens, defensive back Mike Peterson, receiver Jamie Richardson and defensive end Willie Rodgers.
In addition, defensive end Johnie Church completed a one-game suspension stemming from accusations that he assaulted his wife, and defensive back Teako Brown served a similar penalty over claims he assaulted his pregnant girlfriend. Neither was charged.
