Three Indiana men were arrested Tuesday after allegedly kidnaping a Las Vegas limousine driver at gunpoint on Labor Day and forcing him to drive them to Anaheim, police said.

Their plan began to unravel at 5 a.m. Tuesday at an Anaheim 7-Eleven store when the limousine pulled up behind a police officer’s car as the officer was getting coffee inside, Huntington Beach Police Lt. Dan Johnson said.

The driver began to scuffle with the three suspects and the fight moved into the store, where one suspect dropped a gun.

Sean E. Hulet, 18, was arrested by Anaheim police in the convenience store restroom and the other two fled, Johnson said.

The pair were found later in Huntington Beach in a taxi they were riding.

Joshua Troy Randales, 19, was arrested at the scene by Huntington Beach officers, but the third man ran. An officer fired at him and missed and tracked him to a nearby home.

John A. Doran, 24, refused to surrender to officers, hid his right arm behind his back and challenged police to “just shoot me,” Johnson said. Police took a dog to the scene. The dog bit Doran and pulled him to the ground. He was then taken into custody.

Doran was treated at a local hospital for puncture wounds to his calf and arm. All three men were arrested on suspicion of robbery, kidnaping and assault with a deadly weapon.

Hulet is being held in the Anaheim City Jail on $50,000 bail. Randales and Doran were being held at the Huntington Beach City Jail on $50,000 bail. The limo driver, 34-year-old Tarek D. Gohar of Las Vegas, had quoted the men a price of $1,200 for a ride from Las Vegas to the Los Angeles area, police said.
