Share

All three Bruins who have been recovering this week from concussions--quarterback Ryan Fien, offensive tackle Jonathan Ogden and tight end Brian Richards--have been cleared to play in Saturday’s game against Brigham Young at Provo, Utah.

All three were injured in Saturday’s season opener against Miami.

Fien has been practicing since Wednesday. Ogden and Richards returned to practice for the first time Thursday.

Tailback James Milliner, who missed Wednesday’s practice because of flu, was back Thursday.

Bruin defensive tackle Grady Stretz figures the toughest offensive line he’s going to run up against all season is the one he bangs heads with every day in practice.

“I played against Nebraska and Tennessee last year, two of the best in the country,” he said. “But I feel ours is the best. I feel if I’m prepared to face these guys on our team, I’m prepared to face anybody.”

UCLA will take a four-game winning streak into Saturday’s game, the longest current streak in the Pac-10. . . . Since expanding its stadium in 1982, BYU is 58-12 at home. Over that span, UCLA has played there twice and won both times, 27-24 in 1985, and 17-10 in 1992.
