Firebombing Abortion Foe Gets 20 Years

PORTLAND, Ore. —
An abortion opponent who pleaded guilty to firebombing eight clinics was sentenced Friday to 20 years in federal prison.
Rachelle (Shelley) Shannon, already serving a term for shooting and wounding a physician in Wichita, Kan., in August, 1993, will serve her federal sentence after her Kansas term winds up in about seven years.
