SIMI VALLEY : 2 Men Arrested in 19 Car Burglaries
Sheriff’s deputies have arrested two Simi Valley men on suspicion of burglarizing 19 vehicles in eastern Ventura County this summer.
Javier Arraiga and Jose Luis Garcia, both 18, of 2127 Cochran St. were booked into Ventura County Jail on $20,000 bail with arraignment scheduled Thursday, officials said.
The men were linked to the burglaries when detectives recovered Arraiga’s fingerprints from a burglarized car in Moorpark, authorities said.
A search of the residence turned up property taken from 19 cars in the Peach Hill and Mountain Meadows neighborhoods in Moorpark and Thousand Oaks dating back to late July, authorities said. The men were arrested last week.
