ESSEX, Md. —
Police believe a man who died with his estranged wife and three children in the explosion of their station wagon planted dynamite in the car himself.
Betty Louise Clark had agreed to meet her estranged husband, Mark A. Clark, one last time to take the children shopping.
The Clarks, their 4-year-old daughter, Krysta Clark, and Louise Clark’s other children, Malissa Ray, 11, and Ricardo Valdez, 6, all died. Neighbors said Tuesday that Clark had threatened to kill himself and his family.
