FOUNTAIN VALLEY : Child Safety Event to Provide Fingerprinting
- Share via
To help ensure youngsters’ safety, parents may have their children fingerprinted and photographed at Saturday’s Project KidCare, sponsored by the Police Department and a local business.
Each participating family will receive a free passport-style booklet that includes children’s vital statistics, such as age, height and identifying features. The city’s Police Explorers will be on hand to fingerprint the youngsters.
Project KidCare was developed by Polaroid Corp. and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. About 4,000 flyers were passed out at the city’s elementary schools to promote this weekend’s event, said John McKnight, business development director at co-sponsor Fountain Valley Bodyworks Inc.
The event will be from 8 a.m. to noon at 17481 Newhope St.
