Arco, Eastman Kodak Choose New Agencies: Los Angeles-based Atlantic Richfield Co. hired Rubin Postaer Associates of Santa Monica to create ads for its retail gasoline, AM/PM convenience stores and SmogPros. Western International Media will continue to do media planning and buying. Rubin Postaer, best known for its ads for Honda, beat out Foote, Cone & Belding and Highway One Communications. The account was previously handled by Santa Monica-based Kresser Stein Robaire. Rochester, N.Y.-based Eastman Kodak Co. hired Ogilvy & Mather to develop ads to boost its brand-name identity and consumer interest in digital imaging, which uses computer chips instead of film. Kodak said the assignment will not affect its relationships with J. Walter Thompson and Young & Rubicam.
