Krause’s Posts $2.1-Million Loss

Krause’s Furniture Inc., the owner of Krause’s Sofa Factory, reported a net loss of $2.1 million, or 53 cents a share, for the second fiscal quarter, compared with a net loss of $2.3 million, or 66 cents a share, for the same period a year ago. Sales for the quarter ended July 30 increased 5% to $28.9 million from $27.4 million. The net loss for the first half was $3.1 million, or 81 cents a share, compared with a loss of $2.9 million, or 83 cents a share, for the first six months a year ago. Sales rose 11% to $61.2 million from $55.1 million.
