Britain, Argentina to Sign Falklands Deal: The two nations will sign an agreement next week on oil exploration around the Falklands but the deal will not affect the sovereignty of the disputed South Atlantic islands. Details of the agreement remained under wraps but oil experts believe that it could trigger a North Sea-style oil bonanza that would transform life for the islanders. The Falkland Islands government will launch a licensing round for oil exploration on Oct. 3 in London, a British government spokesman said.
