Christopher Vaughn; Developed Nickelodeon Projects
Christopher Vaughn, 50, who developed projects with celebrities for Nickelodeon. He had most recently been director of talent relations for the network’s “Nick at Nite,” working with such stars as Whitney Houston, Whoopi Goldberg, Steven Spielberg and Shaquille O’Neill. A native of Coatesvile, Pa., Vaughn studied at Boston University and the University of Madrid. He worked for many years as a writer and editor for the Hollywood Reporter in New York and Hollywood. For two years, he was on-air entertainment editor of “Essence: The Television Program.” He had also worked for the Dolores Robinson Entertainment talent agency. Vaughn, who served in the Air Force, was active in the Black Filmmakers Foundation and the National Assn. of Black Journalists and was a supporter of APLA, Minority AIDS Project and Project Angel Food. On Sunday in Los Angeles.
