Unit Instruments Inc: The Yorba Linda company’s parent, Autoclave Engineers Inc., will close its corporate offices Friday in Erie, Pa., and move to Unit’s offices, saving an estimated $1 million. Autoclave has sold its engineers group to Snap-Tite Inc. for about $16 million, and will focus on the semiconductor equipment market. Autoclave Engineers will remain a publicly held company under the Unit Instruments name. Shareholders will be asked to approve the name change at their annual meeting Nov. 10. Unit Instruments makes mass flow controllers and other gas process equipment for semiconductor manufacturers.
