COLLEGE FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE NATION : Detmer to Miss Two Games for Sure, Rest Unknown
Colorado quarterback Koy Detmer will sit out the next two games, but could return after that if he is able to play with a knee brace. Coach Rick Neuheisel said doctors will not know until the middle of next week whether Detmer will be able to play or require surgery that would end his season. Detmer tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee against Texas A&M; Saturday. . . . Running back Dou Innocent, who set a Mississippi school record with eight consecutive 100-yard games, will miss Saturday’s game at No. 3 Florida because of a broken hand.
