Mittermeier’s Pay

* I have to agree with Jan Mittermeier’s statement (“County Names Mittermeier CEO,” Sept. 26): “A lot of people think we’re bottom-dwelling, scum-sucking bureaucrats, feeding at the public trough.” Yes, yes, yes. You are absolutely right!
How do you justify a salary for any civil servant in the amount that she is getting paid . . . $140,000 a year to a county employee? What is going on here? There isn’t a civil servant anywhere that is worth that kind of money.
