Cerplex Group Hires Longtime Digital Equipment Corp. Manager

* Philip E. Pietrowski has joined the Cerplex Group, a Tustin provider of electronic parts repair and logistics services, as vice president of logistics. Pietrowski joins Cerplex after 24 years at Digital Equipment Corp. in Massachusetts, last serving as the corporate business operations manager of multi-vendor customer-service business.

* Jim Benson has joined Orange National Bank as vice president and business development officer of the bank’s SBA loan department. During his 25-year career in finance and real estate, Benson has been with the Money Store, Koll Co., Koll Management Services and Bank of America.

* Julie A. Roberts has been elected president of the Orange County chapter of the Construction Financial Management Assn. Roberts is division controller of McCarthy in Newport Beach, a commercial and industrial builder. In addition, W. Carter Chappell, executive vice president of operations at McCarthy, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Orange County Associated General Contractors of California.

* Brent Caldwell has been named vice president of Williams & Schmid/Huitt-Zollars, an engineering, architecture and planning firm. He assumes management and administrative responsibility for the Tustin office. Caldwell has 15 years of engineering and management experience.

* Mike Stone has been appointed vice president, distribution services for Clothestime Inc., an Anaheim women’s apparel chain. He was previously senior director. Charles Castaneda, who had been senior director of merchandising planning and allocation, was named vice president.
