‘SNL’ Isn’t Funny

I recently watched the 21st season premiere of “Saturday Night Live” (“The New ‘Saturday Night Live’ Looks Ready for ER,” Calendar, Oct. 2). During their hiatus, much was spoken and written about the new cast, new writing staff, new director, new musical director and group and as we saw, new graphics. Yet the show still stunk. It was just as unfunny as last season’s awful editions. I turned it off after “Weekend Update” after having laughed two or three times at most in the first 45 minutes.

They’ve tried everything else, how about getting rid of Lorne Michaels, who once knew what made people laugh but no longer does?
