COLLEGE FOOTBALL : Fresno State Rebounds, 51-34

The Fresno State Bulldogs, coming off losses to Utah and UCLA, routed New Mexico, 51-34, Saturday night in a Western Athletic Conference game.

Reggie Brown scored touchdowns on runs of one, 35 and 16 yards and caught a nine-yard pass for another score for the Bulldogs, 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the WAC. Brown rushed for 85 yards in 16 carries and Jerome Oliver had 74 yards in 16 carries.

Fresno's Rich Donati completed 22 of 32 passes for 285 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. Charlie Jones had six catches for 84 yards.

New Mexico fell to 2-3 and 0-1.
