SUNDAY : FAMILY FARE
Been to Chuck E. Cheese’s just one too many times for this lifetime?
If you’re looking for something different to do with the kids this weekend, try a nature walk.
Since 1985, Nursery Nature Walks has sponsored guided hikes designed for families with young children (infants, toddlers and preschool). The group offers over 30 events per month at more than 60 local sites.
Walks last about two hours and have several activities specifically planned for the younger ones. A donation of $5 is requested from each family.
Nursery Nature Walk executive director Judy Burns says this time of year is a great time to start.
“It’s starting to cool down and the colors are changing,” Burns says. “It’s just wonderful for parents to be outside with their kids this time of year.”
* Nursery Nature Walks will sponsor a walk Sunday in Solstice Canyon in the Santa Monica Mountains. For a complete schedule, call (310) 364-3591.
